Default Hatching midge /hatching mayfly

Question: I've tied up a bunch of HATCHING MIDGES and plan on tying some
HATCHING MAYFLY PMDs. ( from the book: Randall Kaufmann's "DRY FLIES") In
both cases the wingcase and shuck are made of CDC.

Can these be used with floatant or will it ruin them?

Lou

Tradional floatants will ruin them.

Pick up some Frog's Fanny, though. It's not quite a floatant, but will do
this particular job well. Frog's Fanny and CDC are a match made in heaven.
