I spent the past 2 weeks fishing. Caught some nice bass using my
favourite softbaits (as recommended last year). You really have to watch your line since the bass mouth the bait and do not run immediately. I used a 5ft and 7ft rod. The 5 ft rod worked well with a weightless softbait. The action was best at late pm. All fish would be keepers but I released them. The softbaits were thrown towards a weedy shore. It is adjacent to deep water and big bass arrive to feed on minnows ot they are sitting in the shallows. The minnows do a lateral boil on the surface signaling bass presence. There is no fishing pressure. |
