Default Ontario Tradition

For the last 25+ years the guys in my family have gone to Puzzle Lake
Ont. There are some big Bass of both species & Pike available. It's a 5
mile long glacial lake with 4 cabins on it. If I didn't catch a fish I'd
still love the place. The wild life is varied & abundant. There's a
Golden Eagle's aerie at the far end of the lake, Beaver, Herons, Osprey,
Loons (my favorites) etc. Our cabin has resident tame Chipmunks that sit
on your hand to eat peanuts. There's a cove with a sheer dropoff whre I
fish Torpedoes & Pop-Rs & have a ball with big Smallies. My nephews like
fishing the weedbeds for Pike, but Pike are like Olympic weight lifters
versus gymnasts; lots of power, but no class. I can hardly wait for the
friday after labor day.
