As far as I'm aware it's a universal ban where migratory fish and
brown trout are concerned, but Sunday fishing for other species is
subject to individual fishery rules. There are certainly some
still-water rainbow trout fisheries that open on Sunday.

Depends where you are and what you are fishing for. Around these parts
there are quite often people fishing on a Sun.

The rules in Scotland "is" different depending where you are. There are
places where you would be lifted for fishing for brown trout on a
Sunday. It's like asking "What time are the shops open in England?"
Scotland is a big place with varying attitudes throughout the country.
The only way to find out for sure is to ask in the local area.
