Don't be put off, when you hook into a barbel you'll know all about it.

I fished by the Ironbridge Rowing Club (easy access). Is this a good spot
for Barbel and if so how do you go about fishing for Barbel?

Only fished Ironbridge once, think it was across from the power station
there.

Only had 1 barbel that day but seen other anglers in the good swims , i.e.
adjacent to trees, catching up to 16 fish in a session.

Fishing for barbel is a bit specialised, if you haven't caught one before
then best to read a book on it, or else all the coarse mags seem to be full
of articles on barbel at the moment. good luck,

Jim.
