By now, everyone involved should have received their packages. Since I've
never shipped to Ireland or Hong Kong before, those may take a little
longer.

Did anyone not receive their swap flies?

Not yet. Usually HK takes about 4-5 business days from the US, since
so much commerce goes between the two there are several dedicated
freight flights loaded with mail daily. When did it go out?

And of course, they arrived today. They were probably sitting in my
mailbox as I wrote that.

LOVELY bunch of flies....too bad there's no freshwater around here.
Maybe next time we should do a sal****er fly tie?

Thanks to all the tyers who made such wonderful items. I'm really
looking forward to trying them as soon as I get a chance.

Well I tried out the Super fly last week on the Touchet River and it/
we caught a scrappy (8") Cut. It was very cold, 11-3pm fishing, zip
on
water. I know there were lots of blue bottle flies around because my
camper was full of them, dead and sluggish. The deer here had a
Blue-Mouth die-off all along the river.

Anyone have more info on the practicallity of using these large
Diptera immitations in the late fall/early winter?

The surprise fly this trip was Svend Tang-Petersen's Trigger Nymph. I
caught 2 nice little Bows. This is a totally new fly to me but it
seems not others. I am going to try to tie it.

I plan to fish them all, even the prettiest.:-)

Both Tony Weall and Jeffrey Barnes wanted me to pass on thanks to this
year's tyers. They were duly impressed.

Hey, Svend - did you ever receive the package, or did those pesky
Leprechauns steal them away?
