Catch a bunch of fireflys and pinch off their tails as you need them.
It will glow. Then put it on an adams. Or would this be considered
bait fishing?

Probably the most famous firefly pattern is the Harrison Steeves version
- he is big into foam terrestrials.

If you go to your nearby fabric store you may find some glow-in-the-dark
cross stitch thread, in several different colors. (green, yellow, blue,
pink...) Use it to tie an underbody on the back half of your favorite
long-bodied beetle pattern. I use foam, myself. Charge with a flashlight
before casting.

tied up a couple simple foam beetle-type imitations yesterday to try
out...missed a couple of smaller strikes, then as one last stop before
heading home, it got whalloped by a 14-16"er. First trout I've caught
on my own tie (other than trolling streamers).

medium brown foam (with bright red for vis.)
hot-yellow ice-dub butt
peacock herl

needless to say, it was satisfying, and always exciting to get them in
the dark. tied up a few more last night adding some black hackle for
legs.

Great feeling catching a trout on a fly you tied.

You should cut the fly off your line (leaving a slight tag) and save
it.

I still have my God awful monstrosity that I called an Adams Parachute
hanging from my tying desk.

Congrad's.

You can buy special tiny glowing inserts for flies known as "lazer
lights"
