I do some cat fishing here in Oklahoma, and recently went down to the gulf
of mexico to do some shark fishing, I have some baits left over, wonder if
they may catch some cats too. Have a little squid, about a 1/2 of a
stingray wing left, and some shrimp.... ideas?

It is hard to tell. Give it a shot and see what happens. For
flatheads, I would say no. For Channels, it is possible they may work.
Shrimp might work the best since it looks like crawdads which is one
of there natural foods. I am not to keen on sea fish, but if those
baits are oily, they may work good. The more oil the bait fish has,
the better the catfish can smell it and find it.

Squid is EXCELLENT fresh water catfish bait,, I've been using it for
many years,, nearly impossible for a fresh water cat to get off the
hook, so it's even great for trot lines and jugs.

I don't see why they wouldn't catch you something...But what they catch is a
mystery...But in all honesty I'd probably try using the most natural baits
in the waters you're fishing...I noticed you said you're in OK...Anywhere
near the Tulsa area??If so you probably hit Keystone dam...It might be to
your benifit to contact Tiny @ the CMB if you haven't heard of him already
that is... This guy is one of the most knowledgable catfisherman in this
country...And to top it off..He's a great guy...

Yup, I am in Tulsa..... I have known Tiny for at least 12 years. I fished
with him last April 14th. If you go to his web page, you can see our pics
on that days catch. And you right, I would venture to say Tiny knows as
much or at least at the very top of knowing most all there is to know on
catfishing. he be Da Man!

I visit his site every day. I don't know if you know of Charlie, a long
time fishing bud of Tiny's, but he lives in Louisiana now, and he comes up
every month and we fish, him and I just got back from Galveston doing some
shark fishing.
