On Tue, 8 Nov 2005, james.willsden, gave forth these words of wisdom:

what a load of ********

Is this the new fly pattern for next season James, or am I missing
something? :-)
At least it was something to read on this group! Has everyone hibernated
until April?
Cheers,
Alec

yes, I too had a sleepless night last night, wondering "what have I
missed?" No change there, then..

Well, some of us are waiting 'til the river fines into grayling condition

:-)

We really needed all this rain but why couldn't it have been spread around
the season more? In Aug/Sept it was sometimes harder to find the river than
the fish. OK I'm lucky to be close enough to the coast that if all else
fails I can nip down to the salt but even there, although I can't complain,
it was an unexceptional year.

Cheerio,
