Default UDS Patterns and parachute tying tips needed.

One other question: Is the K3A supposed to be fished upside-down? or with the hook penetrating the surface film? I am trying to tie flies in the USD manner, so that the hook is skyward.

Most of the K3A flies I have seen are mayfly patterns (always to be
fished upside-down) but here is an example of a caddis USD pattern.
