Went into Ramsey Outdoor in Ledfewood after work Friday for some
materials, not to much on the basics, very little in the way of
threads, hooks on the light side as were turkey wings, hardly any head
cement

I think you'd be hard pressed to find another store offering you the
variety of choices in rods, reels, lines, and waders just about
anywhere.

They offer a 10% TU discount and sometimes have a decent selection.
However, if you need technical equipment advice or broad (fly) fishing
advice they are not good. I usually go to the Ledgewood store but I
would seriously have a hard time buying a $675 Scott rod from the guy
with purple hair! (I'm not sure if he works there anymore but you
should get the idea). I suppose that at least in the past couple of
years they got registers that handle credit cards. It used to crack me
up that it took 2 people to ring you up- one to enter into the cash
register and the other to swipe your credit card!
What I am really saying is if you want a discount and you know what you
need go to Ramseys for convenience. If you want friendly service and
appropriate advice as well as someone who knows how to sell you
something don't bother!
