Default Shad and stripers on Lower American River

Sacramento, CA, USA:

This is a report from Andy Guibord after floating the river on Thursday
(yesterday).

"Shad and stripers are now throughout the system, and though the shad are
all the way to Sailor bar, there still are larger concentrations of them in
the lower half. While guiding for stripers yesterday, I saw lots of shad
from Howe avenue down. A giant school was spotted a mile or so below
Paradise. More shad are about to reach you."
