Cold weather fishing
I'm from Kansas and lately the weather here had been getting cold, at what
temp should I stop fishing for cats? As you can tell I'm not very experienced at fishing for cats (mostly channels where I fish), fairly new at it. Also what bait usually works best for you guys? I've had pretty good success with chicken livers. Any answers would be apreacheated. Thanks. |

Cold weather fishing
Well, I'm from SC, and we fish for cats all year long here (of course it
doesn't get very cold either). Chicken livers or gizzards will work. Depends on how you're fishing. Bush hooks I would usually use shrimp. They really go after them. A fish trap, use bacon. The grease draws em in good. Just keep trying different ones till you see what works for you. I catch them with worms on a rod and reel. |

Thanks for the info, I've been doing pretty good with chicken livers and worms, haven't tried fish traps yet but I'm looking for one. |
