Default Flys for North Carolina in August

I expect to go fly fishing in North Carolina in August, specifically I
will be fishing Abrams Creek in the Smokey Mountains National Park
(everyone else is going hike, I am going to fish). I wanted to tie some
flys before I go but don't really know what will work that time of year.
Anyone have any suggestions?

elk hair caddis, hoppers, parachute adams, yellow humpies, stimulators,
royal wulff, gr hares ear, pheasant tails, prince. the fish in the
smokies are mainly opportunistic feeders. if it looks buggy, and you're
stealthy, they'll hit. abrams can be a tough game though, depending on
which stretch you hit. the farther from the crowds of humanity, the
better chances you have...or so i'm told. and...uh, abrams is in tennessee.

Abram's is also the slickest creek you will ever wade. By all means have
studded shoes or the slip on type of studs.
