Default Zander at Fazeley in the Midlands

Hi
I'll be fishing for Zander in Fazeley as i have heard a few folk say
that its a good Zander water. Does anyone have enough local knowledge
to put me on to a good Zander swim. I've never had one before and will
be using Piking methods with Sprats, lampreys and mackeral as bait. I'm
also going to try and have a go at them on the fly and any tips would
be gratefully recieved.
Thanks in advance
Dave

If you are after the Zander don't bother with sea baits, I fish matches in
the area and always catch Zander on chopped worm and caster, your best bet
is the Coventry Canal, it is stuffed with them.

Thanks for that BlueNose I'll give coventry a try rather than Fazeley.
Is there any particular spot on the canal that you can recomend?

Try the Grendon area, on the last match I fished there I had four out on the
pole using chopped worm and caster up against the boats, the biggest was
3lb, fish to 7lb have been taken from this stretch, but they are all along
the Coventry Canal.
