SO?

How the winter fairing in western Montana.....


Do you think it will be an early hatch this year?

Fished the Bitterroot for about 3 hours yesterday. Absolutely gorgeous day.
Water was a little bit high and a little bit off color. visibility maybe
30" or so. There were a few midges out and about and it was about 50 deg
and sunny. Only had one take that felt like a sizeable whistler.

Say one fairly big trout, 20"+/- laying in the shallows- looked like he had
a big gash on his head. -pike or eagle maybe tried and missed.

The weather keeps up like this and we will have runoffs in just a few weeks.
:-( bodes poorly for anything past June.
