A coworker who heard me chuckling over this story asked what I was
laughing at. I showed. "Duh", quoth she, "he could have just poured
the beer on the snow.

Sigh.

Wolfgang
some people just don't understand anything.

The wiff says that it would have been cold beer and needed further
processing. Sees no problem with the solution. Obviously, your coworker
was not one of my wife's "drinking buddies" during college.

Zackly!

Hm......

Well, that's one'a them there ambiguitites, I guess. Depends on whether
we're talking about the initial solution, the .....um......refined solution,
or the fix for the problem. If the former, where'd it come from? If the
latter, it worked, so what the hell, ainna? And if somewhere in between, it
sorta depends (if you'll forgive the expression) on where it's going and
what for.

Obviously, your coworker was not one of my wife's "drinking buddies"
during college.

All other considerations aside, not unless Brenda was awfully late for
school or Amy was a great deal more precocious than I, who have worked more
or less shoulder to shoulder with her for going on two years, have any good
reason to suppose.

Wolfgang
who, judging by the appearance of the public urinals he's had occasion to
visit, supposes that most men would have done as well in a similar
situation.

my brother sent me the article...told him I thought it a bit early for
April fool's jokes....

(actually I'm offended at the slam against a fellow slovak...although
knowing reporters the fellow was probably a czech anyways...)
