Default beaver baits

How do you rig the beaver baits? like the smallie beavers or the sweet
beavers. Do you take the pinchers apart?

Texposed. Usually perdendicular to the hook except when bass are actively
chasing bait fish, then I'll rig them parrallel.

Extra wide gap hook.

When flat its a craw pattern and I split the tails. When horizontal its a
bait fish pattern and I don't.

P.S. I almost never use the Sweet or Smallie beavers by RI. I use the
zipper body style ones by Pro's Choice or Venom as it tends to tear through
with the hook easier on a hook set, and almost never balls up to the point
as to prevent a good hookset.

Also, Goto Baits makes a one that is a flat pour similar to the RI, but its
a softer rubber and the hook tears through a little easier.

I hope the little help I can offer catches you a toad. If it does tell us a
story, and post us a picture.
