I've published some images at the following site:

http://webpages.charter.net/rwpatton...11598/real.htm

Frankly, I'm pretty disappointed with the quality. I recently had pretty
good luck taking 35mm photos with my Pentax IQ Zoom 90-wr camera, and then
scanning them into my computer. But somehow the colors and focus are both
screwed up this time. It was cloudy and rainy almost all of the time, and I
was using 200 speed film, so that might account for the problems.

The camera is a great camera to take fishing because it resists water. I've
had it for about ten years. It's not a substitute for an SLR, but it fits
into a pocket of my vest.

Also, I didn't get any pictures of Asadi 'cause I didn't get to fish with
him. I'll do that next time.

Time to go digital? I have an Olympus Stylus 410 that is practically foolproof
and with a large size XD card, you can take about 500 shots. It has taken two
full Reids (should "f" be capitalized?) and fell out of my hand into about a
foot of water without any ill effect. It is compact and easily fits into my
vest. And, it takes decent shots with just point and click expertise.

Thanks for the pics. I enjoyed seeing my old friend and his beautiful wife.

i'm fairly certain that is the source of your problems. note that your
pictures of "captain miller" are acceptably sharp; but it gets really dark
alongside those little creeks if cloud cover is heavy, and with relatively
slow film, you needed a wider aperture than your auto-box was able to
provide. a mono pod would have helped, and been a damn good wading staff,
to boot.
still, sassafrass looks great; i don't know how many times i have gone
by its junction with snowbird and not given a thought to an exploration.
idiot.

Um, CERTAIN monopods make a good staff, others definitely do not - there are
some designed as "combos," however. I saw a Slik Stick used as a staff and
collapse (on dry land). I particularly noticed it as I've got the collapser's
big brother, and although I like it as a 'pod, I wouldn't have trusted it as a
wading staff before seeing the other and certainly wouldn't after - as always,
YMMV...

I liked the pix.

Rachel must have a good influence on Jeff, he looks downright photogenic
in the pictures.

Rachel seems to be looking for something? in the last picture.
