RFD: remove uk.rec.fishing.sea
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
REQUEST FOR DISCUSSION (RFD) This is a formal Request For Discussion (RFD) for the following changes in the uk.* Usenet hierarchy: delete newsgroup uk.rec.fishing.sea Newsgroup line: uk.rec.fishing.sea For the discussion of sea angling *** ALL DISCUSSION MUST TAKE PLACE IN UK.NET.NEWS.CONFIG *** This is not a Call for Votes (CFV); you cannot vote at this time. Further procedural details are given below. RATIONALE: uk.rec.fishing.sea Examining the posts available via two well known news servers, it is apparent that the newsgroup is dead. There have been 14 posts during 2012 and 2013. None appear to be of interest or note; they are a mix of off-topic spam, on topic advertising, and one rather odd post that seems to assume that the sea has been designed. This group is rotting and it should be deleted. CHARTER: uk.rec.fishing.sea The groups uk.rec.fishing.coarse and uk.rec.fishing.sea are for the discussion of all aspects of UK angling. Items should be posted to the relevant group only. uk.rec.fishing.sea is for the discussion of sea angling. This covers sport fishing for all sal****er species within British waters. Advertising Personal advertisements for tackle etc. are welcome, but should be brief. Short (less than 20 line) announcements of events relevant to fishing are permitted; blatant off-topic or commercial advertising is not. Binaries Binaries are not permitted on this group, however references to FTPable material and Web URL's are welcomed. END CHARTER PROCEDU This is a request for discussion, not a call for votes. In this phase of the process, any potential problems with the proposal should be raised and resolved. The discussion period will continue for a minimum of 10 days, starting from when this RFD is posted to uk.net.news.announce (i.e. until June 27th) after which a Call For Votes (CFV) may be posted by a neutral vote taker if the discussion warrants it. Alternatively, the proposal may proceed by the fast-track method. Please do not attempt to vote until this happens. This RFD attempts to comply fully with the "Guidelines for Group Creation within the UK Hierarchy" as published regularly in uk.net.news.announce and is available from http://www.usenet.org.uk/guidelines.html (the UK Usenet website). Please refer to this document if you have any questions about the process. DISTRIBUTION: This RFD has been posted to the following newsgroups: uk.net.news.announce uk.net.news.config uk.rec.fishing.sea Proponent: Mike Bristow -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: 1.4.12 Charset: noconv iQCVAwUBUb4KCWOfGXkh8vHZAQGTCgP7BE0fl7YBehsOHmU9YB skE09PPgM0lkX8 7N0lE8iu8/VIO6cxml53KubNoDLV+01B+H84XyJ8+Q20nCKKGI3TMC7Sc0w3 S7Hu hADy6nwUUCFO6CRoTeVAv4kx9vD3SUIE3Q/TersMpoB5Uz+/K9qkrLSwBaGVmzoM FOFW91Y8ays= =kstj -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |
