Default Recommendations for starter fly-tying.

Thanks for all the wonderful post, enjoyed reading them all.
Some great advise on tying flies.

TOM ....SAVE your first few flies ... do not fish them, do not cut off the
materials to reuse the hook, don't do **** but SAVE them .... trust me, a
few years from now you'll thank me for this advice, if you follow it.

Two words: Harry Mason. Go to Troutflies.com and look at Harry's
tutorials. He has more than 20 tutorials on very popular (like in
"you need this one") flies. The photography is wonderful as is the
written instruction. And, Harry is a roffian. Buy a couple of flies
from him. They are inexpensive and well designed/tied.

I'll second that. Harry's tutorials are killer and his flies are top-notch.
