Today, I tied the classic fly pattern adams.

Hook: Mustad 539 12# (same as Dai-Riki 320 12#)
Thread: grey
Wing: grey hackle tips tied over the body
Tail: grey and brown hackle barbs
Hackle: grey and brown

This one is the eighth adams I tied today. I have found the wing is a
little longer. I have tried my best to use the smallest rooster neck
feather. Could you guys tell me any other things I should pay
attention to? Thanks


All you have to do is shorten the hackle feather, trim off a bit more from
the base.

Nice Adams.
As you fish this fly you will find it is a great producer. I live &
fish in the Adirondacks. Parachute Adams is one of my got-to dries.
Caught & Released 12 bt-rt on the Ausable River last weekend on it.
