Default Caught my first bass!

Caught my first largemouth bass today!
Found it in a small weed-choked pond near Cloverdale.
Used the rod/reel I gave my son for his birthday. 20lb test braided on
baitcaster with senko texas rigged.

Of course I didn't have my cell phone in my pocket for a photo of my first
bass and got skunked after going back for the phone. I practice catch and
release, so it's just a fish story for my friends since I was alone without
a witness.

I think I'm hooked!

Beware! You'll soon find yourself spending too much money on
tackle/bait/lures/boat. Anyway, good luck an glad to hear another person
had found the joy of fishing. But do not say you haven't been warned! :-)

I've also found that there is no way to walk out of a bait and tackle store
for under $50 even if just stopping by to pick up a single packet of hooks!

Better than spending it on wine and women

You should never, ever go fishing without a camera!! You never know when
you'll catch a fish of a lifetime!!

I'm not into bass fishing, totally into walleye and muskie fishing, but
we do catch the occasional bass while muskie fishing and know those
buggers put up a pretty decent fight.

Fishing opener here is next weekend. WoooHoo!o!

The problem with that is "God" knows,, he loves to let you catch that
fish of a lifetime, only when you have left the camera at home. He's up
there laughing his head off, his laughter even makes you forget, after
you release that fish, your memory returns, hay dummy, you have a camera
phone.

He has laughed at me many times, it seams every time I carry the Canon
S2, every fish I catch is not worth taking a shot of, let me forget it,
and I have a great day on the water, totally forgetting about that phone
being able to take photos, even though they do suck,(the reason I never
use it to take photos) at least it would be a photo.

Better? Maybe, but not nearly as much fun.
