Go to the local pools and see what people use and how they use it. There are
too many variables to say you need this and this and do that and that.

For pond fishing you need a rod and reel (cheep combo) some small hooks
number 8 and/or 6, some split shot weights, and a float

Then dig or buy some worms, or catch or buy some crickets, or grasshoppers

Go fishing,, you will soon be hooked, all the other stuff comes later, a
little at a time, until you end up like me
4 boats, 60+ rods and reels, 15 tackle boxes, 10,000 soft plastics, and
lures, 10,000 + hooks, and about 200 lbs of weights. I've have huge box
after box of this stuff

Just kidding, you will never end up with that much stuff, I wouldn't
have that much stuff, if it was not sent free to me :-)

No people,, I don't give this stuff away, I don't want my supplies to
dry up
