Default A Northwoods Classic Thought...

Hey all,

I was talking with Joe today and he had a great idea that bears some
discussion.

Traditionally, the Classics are held on a Friday/Saturday, allowing everyone
Sunday for travel. While this has worked great in the past, there is one
"bugaboo". We still have to put up with weekend boat traffic on Saturday.

Seeing's how most everyone arrives a couple days early to pre-fish, how
about we move the tournament dates to Thursday/Friday? This way, we could
have the dinner at my place on Thursday night, still go to dinner at the
Al-Gen on Friday night for their great fish-fry, have the award ceremony
there, and totally avoid the weekend warriors!

Wadda ya think?

Terry and I were discussing this idea the other day. Whether we fish Boom or
Mohawksin, there are only about a fourth as many boats on the water Friday
as on Saturday, and there are even fewer on Thursday than Friday. We would
prefer to drive up a day or two earlierl prefish Tuesday and Wednesday, and
then if we wanted to try another Wisconsin Lake without taking away from
prefishing time, we could fish it Saturday.

You da boss! I'll go with whatever you guys decide, but I never could tell a
difference between fishing in Wisconsin on Friday and Saturday. At least not
compared to our weekends.

Steve

Don't know if I will be able to make it again this year - but I will
be the nay sayer - I like it the way its been. The times I've been
able to make it, I've not experienced "to many boats" - there
are still parts of Boom and surrounding waters I've not seen yet.
